Chemotherapy

Chemotherapy has been a conventional medical strategy instituted to deal with cancer. It has  assisted many patients  to live longer and alleviate the symptoms caused by cancer. However, despite it being hailed as a dependable arsenal in the war against cancer, it has its dark side.

Although there is a percentage of cancer patients who will not experience side effects, many will experience a range of them. The side effects will usually start during the first few weeks of treatment and may become more intense with each treatment cycle .It is important therefore for oncologists and health providers to  discuss this with the patients but in some cases,this topic is skipped. Most patients are desperate and therefore the hope of a cure, they don't give much thought  to the issue of side effects. Patients can keep a useful record of their chemo treatment  and this can help them record the experienced side effects  and try to share them with the doctors.

Chemo affects all cells that grow and divide quickly in the body; these include both the normal (healthy )cells as well as the cancerous ones. Such cells include new blood cells in the bone marrow  or the cells  in the mouth, stomach, skin,hair and reproductive organs. Chemo has been found to damage health cells leading to the dreadful side effects.

Whether or not you experience side effects and how severe they are dependents on the type and dose of the drugs you are given  and your reaction from one treatment to the next. Most side effects are temporary and therefore can be managed. They tend to gradually  improve once the treatment stops and the normal cells recover. These short term side effects include :

* Fatigue
*loss of appetite
*Nausea
*Constipation
*Diarrhoea
*Hair loss
*Mouth sores
*Skin and nail problems
*Memory loss
*Hearing changes
*Increased risks of infection.

Chemo has also been observed to cause long- term effects that don't go away .These include damage to:

* Your heart
*Kidneys
*Reproductive organs
*Lungs
*Nerve endings

In the fight against cancer, one may try complementary therapies along side conventional medicine. Some therapies have been scientifically proven  to be effective, therapies like massage, counselling and meditation can help reduce anxiety

What if there was another way of dealing with cancer without necessarily going through chemo  and radiotherapy? This is a big what if, but that the questions we need to keep asking ourselves.

The Dreaded C Word: Treating Cancer with Rick Simpsons Oil

This medication guideline is to be used for products, cannabis oils, that are only recommended by Rick Simpsons Oil. Here are the prevailing guidelines for using cannabis oil to treat cancer, however, remember that diet, lifestyle and exercise are just as important. Please consider the moment to read the information below. If you are still engaged in the oils and have any further questions, please do let us know. There is a lot of misinterpretation of using the oils to treat cancer, essentially the necessary dosages. To administer cancer, much higher dosages are required. The rule of pollex is 60 grams in 90 days or closest thereto. Both CBD and THC in their own right are both active cannabinoids for treating cancer. Our best advice would be to come up with a prescription plan, whatever it may be and stick to it.  Often people tend to hop around in despair and end up losing the battle before anything was given the chance to work. Diet is step 1, Alkaline and no sugar! U...

Cannabis Oil and Its Impact On High Blood Pressure

Given the increasing predominance of high blood pressure at a time once states are liberalising cannabis laws, people want to know: what are the effects of cannabis on blood pressure? Does it lower blood pressure? The answers mostly depend upon World Health Organization you raise or what study you scan. One in three adults in the U.S. has high force per unit area, a condition referred to as high blood pressure. Left unmanaged, it can lead to cardiovascular disease, which is designated by an increased risk of stroke, heart attack, and even heart failure. A number of things, together with poor diet, stress, physical inactivity, alcohol, and tobacco use increase the risk of developing hypertension. Some of the effects of cannabis on blood pressure, especially the acute effects, are well recognised and documented. Nevertheless, research studies reporting other effects, especially long-term adverse or positive effects, are limited, and often plagued by poor study design or the fact ...
